A slow-growing, yet vigorous, deciduous perennial grass valued for its cascading, mound-forming habit, often compared to a "cascading waterfall" of foliage. It is native to moist, rocky cliffs in Japan and even though it thrives in part or full shade, it can also withstand some afternoon sun (in this case the leaves will turn slightly lime-green).
Ideal with Hostas and spring bulbs.
